The Ecology lab of Mark van Kleunen in the Department of Biology at the University of Konstanz, Germany, is seeking a highly motivated student to do her/his PhD in a DFG-FWF-funded project on the analysis of the Global Naturalized Alien Flora (GloNAF) database.
The 19th Panhellenic Scientific Conference of the Hellenic Botanical Society, entitled “Botanical science within the context of modern challenges: from molecular and physiological approaches to the conservation and restoration of the Greek flora”, will be held from 30 September to 3 October 2026 in Volos, at the facilities of the Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment, University of Thessaly.

We are pleased to invite you to an online Nomenclature-Typification Workshop on February 18, 2025. This event is intended for authors of the Flora of Greece, members of the Hellenic Botanical Society, and young botanists of Greece.
A 5-year postdoctoral research position has been announced at the Berlin Botanical Garden, with a starting date of March 1, 2025. The position concerns the study of the diversity and evolution of selected genera of vascular plants, with an emphasis on the Eastern Mediterranean region and in particular the flora of Greece. The work includes, among others, phylogenetic and morphological analyses, the support of taxonomic work on the flora of Greece and the participation in international collaborations, such as the Flora of Greece project.
The Conference of Young Botanists (CYBO) will be held in Genoa (Italy) from 5 to 7 February 2025.
CYBO is a conference aimed primarily at PhD students and postdocs, with the goal of creating an opportunity for dialogue and networking among young researchers.
The Abstract submission and registration deadline is the 6 December 2024.

The 5th Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week (5MPCW) will be held from April 7 to 11, 2025, at St. Raphael Resort & Marina in Limassol, Cyprus. This congress aims to bring together specialists and enthusiasts in the research and management of nature, focusing on the conservation of wild plants and their habitats around the Mediterranean Basin.
Each oral presentation should be up to 12 minutes long, followed by 3 minutes for questions. Please respect the presentation time to avoid delays in the conference program.
