The 19th Panhellenic Scientific Conference of the Hellenic Botanical Society, entitled “Botanical science within the context of modern challenges: from molecular and physiological approaches to the conservation and restoration of the Greek flora”, will be held from 30 September to 3 October 2026 in Volos, at the facilities of the Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment, University of Thessaly.

CYBO2025 - Conference of Young Botanists, Genoa, 5-7 February 2025

The Conference of Young Botanists (CYBO) will be held in Genoa (Italy) from 5 to 7 February 2025. 

CYBO is a conference aimed primarily at PhD students and postdocs, with the goal of creating an opportunity for dialogue and networking among young researchers.

The Abstract submission and registration deadline is the 6 December 2024.

On behalf of the Hellenic Society of Ethnopharmacology, I have the pleasure to announce and to invite you to the 2nd Panhellenic Congress of Ethnopharmacology, under the title “From the Vikos traditional healers (Vikoyiatroi) to modern phytotherapy” which will be held at Hotel du Lac, 1-3 March 2024.

The Hellenic Society of Ethnopharmacology boasts a rich legacy of studying and documenting traditional treatment methods and practices, while researching and building knowledge derived from the latest scientific developments.

Georgia Kamari awarded with the Gold Medal of OPTIMA

During the 17th OPTIMA Meeting that was held from 20-23 September 2023 in Erice and Palermo, Sicily, with the participation of 162 scientists from 26 countries and 107 scientific institutions, Georgia Kamari, Professor Emeritus of the University of Patras and Honorary Member of the HBS was awarded with the Gold Medal of OPTIMA.
