Special sessions
The deadline for proposing special sessions has been extended to 19 July 2024.
Special sessions may also address specific applied topics associated with Botany (e.g., implementation of policies and directives for the conservation and management of plant diversity, education, plant uses, etc.) and may also comprise sessions of open discussion.
A prerequisite for accepting a special session is that there must be sufficient interest from the participants (e.g., there must be at least four oral presentations per special session).
Colleagues who wish to propose special session topics are invited to send an email to 18hbs [dot] gr (18[at]hbs[dot]gr) with the subject "Special session proposal for the 18th H.B.S. Conference", in which they should propose the topic of the special session, preliminary titles of oral presentations and the authors of the presentations or at least the main presenting authors.
When submitting abstracts, the main presenting authors of the special sessions are requested to indicate the topic of the special session in the corresponding field on the abstract submission form.
