The Institute of Field Biology (IFB) provides leadership in the knowledge of biological diversity based upon field methods. The IFB conducts field research courses in Spain for graduate and postgraduate students at an early stage in their training. The courses are taught in English and are suitable for students in disciplines such as biology, ecology, environmental sciences, and environmental management. The Field Skills course in September 2015, and the Biodiversity and Conservation Field Course in October 2015, have an application deadline on 30 May 2015.
The Hellenic Botanical Society is offering it's support to postgraduate students that will participate in the International Conference “Photosynthesis Research for Sustainability – 2015” in honor of Dr. George C. Papageorgiou (http://photosynthesis2015.cellreg.org/).
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 1st 2015, at the University of Patras.

The conference focuses on ecological restoration of Mediterranean type habitats and intends to highlight the importance of using native plants for restoration.It will address issues such as: cases of restoration of Mediterranean habitat types, criteria to select species for restoration purposes, importance of the seed banks in conservation of plants for restoration, genetic quality of plants, morpho-physiological quality of plants.
The 14th Panhellenic Scientific Conference of the Hellenic Botanical Society will take place in Patras between 8 and 11 October 2015.
