HBS Administration Council Decisions on the formation of Advisory Committees

Following a lengthy discussion during the meeting of the Administration Council (28-09-2007), the members have unanimously voted for the formation of two Committees responsible for the observation and smooth running of all HBS affairs. Committee members are obliged to attend all committee meetings, and these meetings will be also attended by the members of the Administration Council, who are considered ex officio members of both Committees.

Committee 1

This committee is responsible for the structure and management of the H.B.S. website and comprises the following members:

1. Dr. Panayotis Dimopoulos (University of Ioannina, Coordinator)
2. Dr. Penelope Delipetrou (University of Athens)
3. Dr. Konstantinos Theodoropoulos (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki)
4. Eleftheria-Perdiko Bareka (University of Patras)
5. Dr. Ioannis Tsiripidis (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki)

Committee 2

This committee is responsible for the examination and organization of the various sciential areas of Botanical Science aiming to: a) achieve complete formation of the sciential areas of the Botanical Science and improve information flow between H.B.S. members, b) improve coordination of future H.B.S. activities concerning relative sciential areas.

This committee is coordinated by Prof. Stella Kokkini and comprises all General Assembly members plus the following scientists:

• 1. Prof. Despoina Vokou (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki)
• 2. Assoc. Prof. Achilleas Gerasimidis (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki)
• 3. Prof. Ioannis Manetas (University of Patras)
• 4. Assoc. Prof. Constantinos Thanos (University of Athens)
• 5. Prof. Polydevkis Chatzopoulos (Agricultural University of Athens).
